Marija Zaharčenko is coming to Riga this summer!

Marija Zaharčenko is an experienced dog groomer with more than 20 years of experience, an Andis instructor, a brand ambassador for Shmm, Sharpenedges and Andis in Spain and Ukraine, an international ACW pet grooming judge, a member of the Spanish grooming team Alianz and a member of the Ukrainian pet grooming team Suziria. She is a winner of national competitions in Spain and other countries in the champion class of pet groomers (purebred class), in the spaniel and setter categories, as well as in other categories. Marija Zaharčenko, who was born in Ukraine, began her career as a veterinarian and in 2006 became a pet groomer. Two years later, Marija opened her first spa, and by 2017 she had five salons across Kyiv. In 2009, Marija also opened the MaryGroom pet grooming school, later a retail store selling pet grooming equipment, and a service center. In 2014, she founded her own magazine and was the editor-in-chief of Groom Service. In 2016–2017, she organized and ran her own pet grooming competition “GroomFest” in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2017, Marija moved to Valencia, Spain, and now shares her experience by training other pet care masters at her “MaryGroom” pet care academy, located in the official “Andis” service center and grooming store in Valencia, Spain. Working as a pet grooming instructor for “Alianz Europe” and “Andis”, Marija also participated in pet grooming competitions and achieved many successes. In 2018, Marija joined Spain’s national ACW pet grooming team and represented the country in various international competitions. In 2024, she began collaborating with the “Nash” grooming academy in Kentucky, USA, and was honored to serve as a judge, teacher, and certified specialist at the oldest pet grooming school in the world. Marija conducts seminars throughout Europe and currently judges pet grooming competitions. In 2024, she received the “Andis” award “Teacher of the Year”. In 2023 and 2025, she led seminars at “Groomania” in Belgium. Marija is also a brand ambassador for “SHMM”.
